Loving it. Not too keen on the rain sound effects. I can understand why they're their, but I find that it's too overbearing. I would just turn it down a tad.

Great build, and breakdown. Very suited to the theme. I;d have to say, a Halloween themed track would be one of the worst to choose from :S

LOVE the chorus. Lovely distorted stabs. Cannot fault your production on this one.

Can't critique much. Everything is just, good. Could only point out the stuff that wasn't to my taste. Great track man! LOVE IT. 9/10 5/5

Sorry I couldn't put as much of a review together for you as you did me :P

FIVE

Very nice build. The rising effect that starts at about 1:18 kinda takes over the whole song. Try turning it down a touch and adding some stereo effect to it to keep it sounding good in the mix.

Love the breakdown that follows afterwards. A truly "epic" build up of electro stabs. The release into the chorus was somewhat anti climatic. The build up was soooooo sweet, and left me expecting a huge chorus. The snare kind of broke up the tension. I'm not an expert in trance production, but might I suggest using a high pass on the master to take away the bass before the chorus, then DROP it back in during the release into the chorus. It m/ight just add a bit more suspense and soung better rounded off.

Loved the track. Just some minor scratches with the mix and the end of the build which has "let it down", but this is still VERY GOOD STUFF.

you should be very proud of your creation. I thoroughly enjoyed listening. Keep up the good work mate, I'd love to hear more. 9/10 5/5

Nice and catchy. Great structure. But this song is lacking some sort of chorus. If there is a chorus already, I certainly didn't pick up on it (lack of dynamics, dramatic build up, etc).

Personally, I would have introduced the bassdrum before the snare. I kinda lost the beat of track with two up beat sounds playing together. The bassdrum brought it back for me, but was too late. you need to make a good impression on the listener. You need to make the song easy to keep up with, so the listener wants to hear more! So yeah, kick drum first.

On the fact that this song is very short, I'll have to give you a 4/5 8/10.

I think there is great potential here ;) feel free to send me a message if/when you get around to completing it :D I'd love to see this evolve. Good stuff man, keep it up!

You've got a nice sounds there, paired with a nice melody. Try not to phase the sounds in and out so frequently. I'd say, just have a 16 bar build up, then drop in the bass and drums, then continue from there.

You could make a good full length track out of this.

Can't really say much about this (because it's 30 seconds long and uses only 2 sounds). So in that case 8/10 4/5 Good job. Message me if you ever get around to finishing this ;)

PlatinumPhoenix responds:

Thank you very much for the constructive criticism, This is exactly the kind of stuff I was looking for with comments. I actually noticed that the phasing doesn't quite sound right, so I'll be changing that in the full song. Thanks again for the comment and the good rankings ^_^

Got some nice progressive stabs, and pads. The bass sounded a bit too distorted for my liking (but that's coming from a dubstep background - where the bass is hardly audible), but that's just me.

The song sounds too spread out. It's too stereo. I'd suggest making things a bit more mono and whack a compressor on the master filter to just make the sound sound merged.

Your kick drum is AMAZING. I can feel it in my chest! Really simple, hard driving beat is good ;) The song overall just needs some more effects to make it sound complete, but a very good start indeed :D

Good job man!I don't normally listen to house, but when I do, I listen to the good stuff ;)

Hey man I hear ya, I've really just been messing with my bass samples a lot lately because I really want to find a unique Bass sound to use for my tracks.

You're probably hearing the stereo separation that I messed up on here, and you're not the first one to notice x_x. (Fixed in the final version)

This is also a comment that i've heard a few times recently; thank you so much dude, I spend a LOT of time on my drum tracks EVERYTIME :) (I'm realllly glad you noticed)

Thank you for saying so my friend! I really really REALLY appreciate you taking the time to review, and I can't wait to read the next one!

Thanks again for listening!
Till next time...

It's good...

You've got some AWESOME wobbles. Sounds very similar to Datsik. Absolutely love them. There are however, a few minor scratches that need fixing.

The vowel bass is sounds very strained. It has no body to it and sounds weak in the mix. Your snare needs to be louder and snappier. It really needs to 'cut' through all the other sounds that are playing. The song isn't very dynamic. You should consider playing with volume levels, half-time, double-time, filters, etc, to give the song more depth.

Other than those key points, this song is brilliant! I enjoyed the transitions, but feel they need to be smoothed out a bit more. Never the less, the track was great. Got a really nice tune and some great complimenting samples/patches.

Good job man! Loved it! This could be a winner!

This is utterly brilliant! A fresh, unique sound, a nice change from generic dubstep.

Your patches (especially the vowels) are perfect. Nice and tight, fit in the mix well too.

Good song structure, great vocal.

Can't really critique. This is "perfect".

Good job man! You're going to be huge!

Thanks man, that means a lot!

Got a nice groove, helped with some niiiiice bass.

I do however feel that there are some unwelcoming sounds shoved in here. The occasional screeches are hard on the ear. You might want to replace them with another effect. The song progresses nicely, got great structure, just lacking an intro :)

Good Work though man! Keep it up!

Not because you hacked it though...

Anyway, as soon as I heard this I thought "this is going to be a cracker!". Turns out I was right. Your piano roll has a nice flow to it and fits the mix so well. Sounds very professional.

Drums are nice and punchy. A bit short, but adds to the song's over all mood. The chorus is so smooth. I love the simplicity of it. Just a vowel bass with a medium attack. It goes very well with the piano.

Can't say much more. Fived, Ten-ed, Favourited, Downloaded.

Good day sir.
